About the Region

The Region includes Gloucestershire,Wiltshire,Somerset,Dorset,Devon and Cornwall. There are 22 Branches spread throughout the Region. Our Branches vary in size from 12 to over 100, and as in many Regions,they vary in the way they are run. Some run a lecture and workshop programme, while others run their workshops at their monthly meeting. Our Region is long and thin, and does suffer from the long distances needed to travel to Regional events. We try to overcome this by holding Regional Festival Days and AGMs in different parts of the Region, benefitting each far flung part in turn.

'Switches' is the annual members magazine for the SW Region. It is published in late January and distributed in February each year.

Young Embroiderers

There are 6 groups in the Region.
Frome, Marlborough, Tavistock, Blackmore Vale, Exeter and Avalon
There are a number of individual YE members who meet in Malmesbury. Young embroiderers may be members without being part of a group.The regional representative is Janet Pamplin
