Baltimore Quilts are famed for their exquisite appliqué and a talk with slides will demonstrate the full extent of the history method and beauty of these amazing quilts.

TALK - To Bead or Not To Bead - Eliza McCelland
A talk about traditional beadwork on canvas, historical design sources and theatrical antidotes. With many examples to see and feel.
SATURDAY 28 April
WORKSHOP - Beadwork on Canvas - Eliza McCellard
The art of traditional beadwork on canvas with students making a sampler using shading and blending glass beads

A talk about Bobby's life as a textile tutor and as a working artist.

"Running all the Way" - Marguerite Swift
A talk about the life of an embroiderer with examples of her work.

"The Challenges of Historical Textile Conservation" - Michelle Harper
A talk with digital photographs and case histories. Describing the problems and challenges of textile conservation for national projects.

TALK - "Lanscapes using Machine Embroidery" - Alison Holt
A talk about Alison's artistry and her publications using landscapes as inspiration for her work.
SATURDAY - 27 October
WORKSHOP - "Landscapes with Machine Embroidery" - Alison Holt
The students will use a sewing machine to produce a Paint and Stitch, Flowers and Foliage sample.
