Judith works in mixed media, predominantly hand embroidery, with painting and printing.
Her talk will show you how to question the way you work. She will bring many examples of her work.
March 2nd. JOANNA O'NEILL - "Conditional Discharge"

A talk on techniques to colour discharge and further ways to work with velvet.
April 6th. ANNETTE EMMS - "Gargoyles, Ghosts and Gravestones"

A talk about how our parish churches can be an inspiration for textile art. Annette tells her adventure of church crawling and how you can use the things within and around churches. She includes samples and a short demonstration.
May 4th. STEVIE WALKER - "Patterns of the Earth"

A talk about her work and her inspiration. She is a designer/maker and a City and Guild tutor.
June 1st. ANNE MENARY - "Every Picture Tells a Story"

Anne makes a range of work from small fabric postcards to wall hangings. It involves fabric, collage and hand embroidery, but the work always tells a story.
July 6th. ELINOR KAPP - "Rigmaroles and Ragamuffins"

Elinor is a psychotherapist and psychiatrist who has a degree in Embroidered textiles. She will speak about the amazing words and phrases that have come into the English language from the textile and thread processes, such as: 'fair to middling', 'odds and ends', 'frazzled', 'inkling' ......
September 7th. ANNE GRIFFITHS - "Diamond Stitches"

Anne is a textile artist who works with sheer fabrics, dyeing the fabric and then using mostly machine embroidery to embellish her work. She has recently been involved in creating textile pieces inspired by a science project. She has also tutored City and Guilds machine embroidery at Gloscat college.

November 2nd. NICKI WILLIAMS - "From the Start to Now"

A talk about her embroideries and mixed media work. She tells about the inspirationof the Puppet Theatre on her work. She produces luxurious textured surfaces on her work, which is both two and three dimensional.
