Visit to America: member Carole Biggs shares her stories of a memorable holiday, with inspiration in her wonderful photos
Janet Phillips from The Threshing Barn near Leek says "We all have scraps of fabric, oddments of yarns and threads, odd beads and buttons. Come and be inspired to turn them into beautiful ornaments, new fabric, notebooks, etc".
Bring some stitching of your own and meet our members in an informal sociable atmosphere. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Pam Duxbury takes a brief look at the influences on and variety of Greek traditional costume and embroideries.
Elizabeth Tatman from Bolton will bring garments and accessories to illustrate her talk.
Sue Lancaster will bring examples of her work made in her Sheffield studio "Stitched up and Fleeced".

AGM and exhibition of members' work with a ballot for the annual Rose Bowl winner
Carol Coleman talks about the evolution of her work - mostly free-machine embroidery - illustrated with slides and an extensive display of examples.

Workshops are held at St. John's Church Hall, Macclesfield and last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided but members should bring a packed lunch.
There will be a coach outing in July 2012 to visit a place of interest for textile inspiration and possibly some associated retail therapy!
