March 10th. Kantha Embroidery. A workshop with Lynn Setterington. Participants will produce a sampler involving a variety of stitches.
May 21st. African Inspirations with Mary Sleigh . Participants will produce a sample of work based on Mary's collection of African textiles and beadwork.
July 15th and 16th. A mixed media workshop led by Cas Holmes using textile, print, dye and stitch to create pieces based on the land and landscape.
September 17th . Jan Connett will lead the group using design ideas to create a moody lendscape. Jan will demonstrate and teach how to work with a design process to create a fabric collage using simple stitch techniques.
October 22nd. Embroidered Rustic Rooster with Clare Hanham. Claire will show how to revive a few basic hand embroidery stitches and learn how to jazz them up !
Workshops are held on Saturdays at Westmoreland Hall, Westmoreland Road, Redland, Bristol from 10am - 4pm. Workshops are only open to members of Bristol Branch - please contact us for further information on joining the branch and more details of the workshop.
