Bolton Branch: Details of our branch

Details of our Branch

Bolton branch began in 1984 as a group of post-City and Guilds members, calling themselves Connecting Threads. Soon after, they joined the Embroiderers' Guild. Anyone worried about the word Guild needn't be. We do have members who are professionals or perfectionists or both, but most just have a genuine interest in all forms of textiles. We are a friendly group of about 45 members who meet at least 11 evenings a year, with 3 day schools, additional work days and trips out. Membership is £39.00 which includes our affiliation fees to HQ and the cost of the 11 evening activities. Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start and we finish by 9.00pm. We offer a small sales table, extensive library, raffle and refreshments. Do visit as a guest for £4.00 or come and join us. You will be warmly welcomed. Clare our IT Rep and Ann our Chair.
