Bolton Branch: Details of our branch

Details of our Branch

Bolton branch began as a group of post C&G members, calling themselves Connecting Threads, in 1984. Soon after they joined the Embroiderers Guild. I joined later that year and have loved every minute of it. I was at first worried about the word Guild and thought it was for professionals/perfectionists or both. Some of us are, but most just have a genuine interest in all forms of textiles. We are a friendly group of about 45 members who meet at least 11 evenings a year, 3 day schools, additional work days and trips out. Membership is £36.00 which includes our affiliation fees to HQ and the cost of the 11 evening activities. Doors open at 6.45 and we finish by 9.00pm. We offer a small sales table, extensive library, raffle and refreshments. Visit as a guest for £4.00 or come and join us. You will be warmly welcomed. Val IT Rep and of course Ann our Chair.
