Aberdeen South Branch: About Aberdeen South Branch

About Us

We meet on the first Saturday each month from September to May/June (excluding December) at Rublislaw Church Centre, Beaconsfield Place, Aberdeen. Morning workshops take place from 10-1pm on a variety of subjects, are open to all and no booking is required. It is useful to take a sewing kit to these workshops which are generally relaxed and an opportunity to explore different types of embroidery or related techniques with other members. A modest fee of £3 is charged for attending.
Talks and more formal meetings start at 2pm in the same venue and this is followed by refreshments. Visitors are asked to contribute £3 to the cost when they attend but are always welcome. Members attend the afternoons for free.
Membership is £39 per annum which includes Headquarters' Affiliation Fees.
Schools are organised throughout the year and these require booking and generally take place over two days or an evening/day.
A competition between members is organised and judged (by all attending the meeting)at the April meeting.
